Murder
In Shreveport, Louisiana, a gunman killed eight children.
“This is a larger-scale incident than most of us have ever seen,” said Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith.
The youngest victim was 1 year old, and the oldest was 14. Two adults were injured in the shooting, according to DW.
The suspect was shot and killed by police while attempting to flee. He is believed to have acted alone.
After the shooting, the suspect attempted to flee in a stolen car and was shot by police.
No officers were injured during the pursuit.
