Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán claims that the summit in Budapest between US President Donald Trump and Putin will still take place.
Orbán noted that the summit in Budapest will take place, but its date has been postponed: “What is delayed will still happen.”
“Negotiations are ongoing, and it is a fact that a peace summit will take place in Budapest,” Orbán added.
He was unable to say when the meeting will take place, according to Index.
"Let's look at the scenario of the last such major peace summit. It took place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where peace in the Middle East was finally concluded, where the parties, including the Americans, negotiated for a long time and then announced on Saturday that the agreement would be signed on Monday. That's how we should imagine it," Orbán said.
