Russia launched a missile strike on Poland

Sybiha stated that the missile in question was a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile, which entered Polish territory as part of Russia's large-scale strike on Ukraine, violating NATO airspace.

"This is further clear confirmation that strengthening Ukraine's air defenses is now an urgent task and serves as a guarantee of the protection of the entire Euro-Atlantic community," he emphasized.

He noted that a total of 74 missiles—many of them ballistic—and hundreds of drones were launched at Ukraine that night.

"Putin's terror clearly demonstrates that the need to strengthen Ukraine's and all of Europe's missile defenses is urgent. Every decision on additional air defense assets for Ukraine must now be made without delay, and all agreements on additional interceptors must be implemented as quickly as possible," Sybiga emphasized.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that the Russian missile's incursion into Polish territory also reminds us that nothing is more urgent for both countries than confronting a common, age-old enemy that poses a direct threat to both peoples.

"All other differences must be put aside for the duration of this brutal war. Our priority must be our shared security. Ukraine informs all partners and international organizations of the consequences of this attack," Sybiga added.

The Polish government is inclined to believe that a Russian missile fell overnight in the Lublin Voivodeship, near the village of Tarnawa Kolonia.
