President Donald Trump said he is not concerned about Israel's actions, including the speed with which it is moving to the second phase of the peace plan for Gaza.
“I'm not concerned about anything Israel is doing. I'm concerned about what other people are doing or maybe not doing, but I'm not concerned. They've done the plan. They're strong. Israel has been 100% on the plan,” Trump said.
The US is pushing for a quick move to the next phase of the Gaza peace plan, but Israel doesn't want to keep pulling troops out of the enclave without disarming Hamas, CNN reports.
This has created tension with some White House advisers who think Netanyahu might be dragging his feet on moving to the next phase.
The second stage of the agreement includes disarming Hamas, beginning reconstruction, and establishing post-war governance.
