Tymoshenko presents the concept of "fair mobilization" of Ukrainians

It is proposed to double the salaries of already fighting defenders and volunteers who will come to the military training center, a system of clear guarantees and compensation for those mobilized, as well as support and development of domestic arms manufacturers. This concept was presented by Yulia Tymoshenko together with the Batkivshchyna party team.

"We all understand why and how much mobilization is needed today. However, it should not take place in the format we see now, when people are being grabbed on the streets and children, the disabled and women are ready to be drafted into the army.

This is unacceptable, so our team has developed a fair mobilization project that will radically change the situation.

The first thing we propose is to give the defenders who are already at war a choice - either a doubling of their salary or a year's vacation. The second is to adopt a system of incentives for volunteers who come to the TCC by providing them with at least six months of training, twice the salary, housing for families, social protection for children, and guaranteed medical insurance in case of injury.The third is to clearly define the categories of people who are not mobilized: women, young people under 27, students, researchers, teachers, people with disabilities, and parents with many children. Fourth, we need to create an innovative fund for investment and development of private enterprises that can produce weapons for Ukraine - drones, ammunition, equipment, sights, etc. This is the only way we can stop the shameful raids of the TCC, which packs everyone indiscriminately into buses and sends them to the front, and equip our army on the principle of justice," said Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the Batkivshchyna party.

According to her fellow party member Valeriy Dubil, the Batkivshchyna party will introduce these points in the form of amendments to the government's draft mobilization plan and insist on their full consideration.

"We must adopt the draft law on mobilization in a form that will not cause controversy in society and will not deepen the existing crisis. Amendments to the mobilization rules should provide clear answers to the most painful questions about the technical and financial support of our defenders, terms of service, social protection of the military and their families, etc. In addition, it is extremely important to clearly define the categories of Ukrainians who are not subject to mobilization, both for health reasons and because of their value to the development of the state. We need to adopt a list of highly qualified specialists from various fields of production who should be preserved, as their unique skills, experience and knowledge are critical for the further development of the state, and it is impossible to find a replacement for such people in the short term," said Valeriy Dubil, MP, head of the Kyiv city organization of the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna".
