The government is actively negotiating with international partners to attract their funds for financing the security and defense sector.
"We are urging our partners to allocate resources not only to civilian needs, but also to the security and defense sector," said Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.
He noted that this is one of the key priorities the president has set for the government: finding reliable sources to cover defense expenditures in the medium term, according to Ekonomichna Pravda.
The Ministry of Defense has already prepared preliminary calculations: the number of military personnel required after the end of the active phase of the war and the funding volumes by category have been determined. These data will form the basis for joint actions by the government and international partners.
Attracting such funds could become part of a package of security guarantees for Ukraine.
"There is a willingness and understanding that this issue will be resolved. I hope we will soon be able to discuss specific agreements," the minister concluded.
