Ukrainian oligarch blown up in Monaco

The explosion occurred on the evening of June 29, shortly before 9:00 PM local time, on Rue Reverand-Père-Louis-Frolla, located near the border with France.

The government of Monaco officially reported at least three people injured in serious condition.

All three victims are members of the same Ukrainian family. The parents, aged 50-60, sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. A 13-year-old boy was also injured and is in moderate condition.

The adults are currently hospitalized at the Pasteur Hospital in Nice, and the boy is being treated at the Lenval Children's Hospital.

According to Ukrainska Pravda's sources in business circles, one of the victims of the explosion is Dnipro businessman Vadim Yermolayev.

CCTV cameras captured an unidentified man leaving a backpack directly in front of the front door of a residential building. Immediately afterward, the suspect fled on foot in the direction of the neighboring French town of Beausoleil.

The explosion itself occurred just as people were entering the building. Law enforcement agencies are currently determining whether the Ukrainians were the perpetrator's immediate target.

Monaco Prosecutor Thibault Stéphane confirmed that two people are in critical condition. Bomb disposal experts, forensic experts, and police units are currently working at the scene, conducting a detailed examination of the area.

According to preliminary reports, the explosive device was packed with bolts and metal pellets to increase its destructive power.
