The planned deployment of an additional 5,000 American troops to Poland is expected within three months.
In the coming months, 5,000 American troops will arrive in Poland, bringing the total number of US troops in the country to 11,000, according to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
National Security Bureau Director Bartosz Grodecki, returning from talks with the Pentagon, stated that Washington considers Warsaw a model ally.
"I have repeatedly heard from the American side that Poland is a model ally of the United States. This was confirmed in my conversations, including during my meeting with Pentagon Chief Strategist Elbridge Colby. Therefore, US-Polish cooperation looks promising in the coming years," Grodecki stated.
Poland is negotiating with the US on establishing a permanent American troop base in the country. A final decision will be made within 6-12 months. A meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Karol Nawrocki on this issue is scheduled for the coming months.
