US President Donald Trump has thanked Iran for giving advance warning of plans to attack a US base in Qatar in response to US bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities.
Trump said Iran officially responded to our destruction of its nuclear facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and which we responded to very effectively.
According to President Trump, Iran fired 14 missiles: 13 were shot down and 1 did not fly toward its target.
"I'm happy to report that no Americans were injured and almost no damage was done. The most important thing is that they released everything that had built up in their ‘system’ and hopefully there will be no more hate. I want to thank Iran for giving us advance warning, which avoided casualties and injuries," Trump wrote.
He added that perhaps now Iran can move toward peace, and he would enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.
