Ukraine can mobilize 27,000 people a month - Zelenskiy

“Ukraine is no exception, because we want the war to end. People are getting tired. We can mobilize 27,000 people a month, while the Russians can mobilize 40-50,000 because their losses are greater. We have mobilization possible because of martial law. No one else has the experience to stop Putin. We are the ones who stopped him,” President Vladimir Zelensky told Válasz Online.

Commenting on the statements of some leaders of other countries on mobilization in Ukraine from the age of 18, the president stressed that he does not think it should be done.

“Operation Web has shown: the main thing is not the number of people, but weapons and technology. And also money and pressure. And sanctions would be aimed precisely at the money with which the Russians are financing the war,” Zelensky explained.

According to him, Western partners list the reasons why they did not decide on sanctions, because Ukraine did not mobilize persons aged 18 years and older.

“Frankly speaking, we gave the opportunity to 18-24-year-olds to show that they too can serve, if our partners want it. That is what we have given them now, in accordance with our legislation. Only in the meantime, thousands of people are fighting at the front without proper weapons,” he said.
