Ukraine will not join the EU with Bandera, - Poland

According to him, Ukraine will face significant problems integrating into the European Union if it continues to use the OUN and UPA as national symbols. Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Poland will take a firm stance and demand that Ukraine renounce the celebration of the leaders of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, Polsat News reports.

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that each country joining the EU must adhere to strict requirements, including those related to historical memory. He believes it is unacceptable to base European cooperation on respect for individuals or movements that cause pain, hostility, or spread lies about neighboring EU member states.

"The EU cannot put those who destroy European cooperation on a pedestal. Ukraine will not join the European Union with Bandera," he said.

Poland will make its own decisions regarding the bloc's expansion, and no one will dictate how it votes on this issue.

"No one will tell us how we should vote on the accession of this or that state to the European Union," Kosiniak-Kamysh stated.

He agreed with the assumption that there are certain political forces in Kyiv that genuinely do not want Ukraine to join the EU.
