In the U.S., military exercises will simulate war in Ukraine

These sites will create electronic warfare and contested environments where drone manufacturers and counter-drone developers can collaborate. They will also train service members, who will be able to hone their skills and work directly with developers, according to CBS News.

US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll noted that the US already has sites for safe weapons testing, but is considering creating a separate global test site outside the country for much more aggressive testing, including hypersonic systems. He declined to specify potential locations, citing the early planning stages.

Some current counter-drone exercises in the US do not involve the use of electronic jamming systems due to restrictions on the use of jamming within the country.
