Iran ready for nuclear deal with US

Ali Shamkhani, a top adviser to Iran's supreme leader, said Iran would pledge to never produce nuclear weapons, get rid of stockpiles of highly enriched uranium that could be used as weapons, agree to enrich uranium only to lower levels needed for civilian use, and allow international inspectors to monitor the process in exchange for the immediate lifting of all economic sanctions against Iran, NBC News reported.

"It's still possible. If the Americans act as they say they will, there's no doubt we can have a better relationship. This could all lead to an improvement in the near future," Shamkhani said.
