American businessman becomes first trillionaire

Before the IPO, Forbes estimated the entrepreneur's net worth at approximately $780 billion. This put Musk significantly ahead of his closest rival on the list of the world's richest people, Alphabet co-founder Larry Page, whose net worth is estimated at $300 billion, according to Reuters.

Musk now owns the majority of his wealth in SpaceX, where he owns a stake worth approximately $866 billion. Together with his Tesla holdings and other assets (including Neuralink, The Boring Company, xAI, and the X social network), his total net worth exceeds $1.1 trillion.

On June 11, SpaceX raised a record $75 billion in an initial public offering. However, analysts warn that the company's $1.77 trillion valuation is largely based on technologies that will take years or even decades to achieve commercial viability.
