Iran delayed its decision on negotiations with the U.S.

Tehran was in no hurry to send a negotiating team to Islamabad, while the White House waited for a signal on Monday, Axios reports.

As one source noted, negotiators were under pressure to maintain a hardline stance: “No negotiations without an end to the American blockade.”

The Iranian delegation was awaiting approval from the Supreme Leader, which, according to sources, was granted late Sunday night.
