Two earthquakes hit Romania

“An earthquake of magnitude 4 bala occurred in the seismic zone of Vrancea at a depth of 70 kilometers,” said the National Institute of Geophysics INCDFP.

Before that, a weak earthquake of magnitude 3.6 was recorded in the afternoon with an epicenter closer to the city of Buzeu, at a depth of 121 km, Digi24 reported.

Earthquakes of minor magnitude in the Vrancea zone are a typical phenomenon, with more than 20 in March alone. In 2024, the strongest earthquake in Romania occurred on September 16 near the city of Buzeu, the magnitude was 5.4.
