Ukraine wants to return all men from Germany to the trenches

Unity Hub centers have become one of the key tools for engaging with the Ukrainian community, Ukrinform reports.

"We are grateful to the Germans for helping develop the idea of ​​creating centers for Ukrainians – the Unity Hub. The first one has already opened in central Berlin and is gradually becoming more active. I personally visited it during its first days of operation. Representatives of the Pension Fund were there, and Ukrainian pensioners immediately formed lines to ask them specific questions," said Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Oleksiy Makeyev.

Makeyev explained that the work to coordinate the return of Ukrainians consists of two components.

"The first is the Unity Hub, which is our government's work with the Ukrainian community, explaining the available opportunities. The second is to understand how we can facilitate return together with the Germans. Therefore, a working group has been created between Ukrainian and German agencies to exchange information," he noted.

Commenting on the issue of returning men of mobilization age who illegally left Ukraine, the diplomat confirmed that the relevant mechanisms are already being developed.

"I won't disclose these mechanisms yet. They are currently being discussed within the framework of this working group," Makeyev stated.
