US and Iran exchanged strikes again

CENTCOM stated that these strikes were in response to Iranian attacks in the Middle East.

"Iran launched several ballistic missiles toward neighboring countries in the region, but none of them hit their targets. Two Iranian missiles fired toward Kuwait fell short of their targets or disintegrated in mid-air, and three missiles fired toward Bahrain were immediately intercepted by US and Bahraini air defenses," CENTCOM noted.

The US struck an Iranian ground control facility on Qeshm Island, but no US service members were injured.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed its attacks on Kuwait were a response to brazen and blatant aggression by American forces on Qeshm Island. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have fired at least 10 ballistic missiles toward Kuwait.

It added that these attacks were an initial response, warning of a much stronger retaliatory strike to follow.

The IRGC claimed to have struck American bases in the region and a vessel near the Strait of Hormuz in response to the American attack on an Iranian-linked oil tanker.

In response, CENTCOM denied Iran's claims of successful missile and drone strikes on the US 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and an American air base in the region.

"All Iranian attacks on US forces have failed. US forces remain vigilant and prepared to defend against unjustified Iranian aggression," CENTCOM reported.
