US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Ukraine on the 35th anniversary of their independence.
According to Rubio, on this day, the US reaffirms the strong partnership between the two countries.
"The United States is committed to Ukraine's sovereignty and continues our efforts to support a negotiated settlement to the Russia-Ukraine war that will ensure a lasting and durable peace," the US Secretary of State said.
He emphasized that on this Independence Day, when Ukrainians honor their country's history and celebrate their courage, innovation, and resilience, the US reiterates its strong commitment to strengthening our economic and defense ties and paving the way for peace and prosperity for both our peoples.
