World War III is not that far away - Trump

Trump pointed to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, warning that World War III is not that far away, but said his presidency will not allow it to happen, CNN reported.

“Around the world, I'm moving quickly to end wars, resolve conflicts and restore peace to the world - I want peace, and I don't want to see everybody killed. And look at the deaths in the Middle East, and the deaths that are happening between Russia and Ukraine, that are ongoing, and we're going to put an end to that. Nobody benefits from World War III, and you're not that far away from it, I'll tell you right now, you're not that far away. If we had the Biden administration one more year, you would be in World War III, and that's not going to happen now,” he said.

Trump thanked Saudi Arabia, which backed Wednesday's summit, for organizing the U.S.-Russia talks this week, calling them a big step, while calling President Vladimir Zelensky a “modestly successful comedian” and a “dictator without an election.”

“I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has done a terrible job - his country is destroyed, millions and millions of people have needlessly died - and you can't end the war unless you talk to both sides. So we look forward to a quick ceasefire and the restoration of stability in Europe and the Middle East,” Trump said.
