Israeli forces have expanded their ground operation in southern Lebanon beyond the security zone. However, there are no details on the scale of the advance beyond the so-called "Yellow Line," Reuters reports.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Israeli military is deepening its operations in the country.
These airstrikes further jeopardize the ceasefire declared on April 16, which is intended to halt fighting between Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah. Furthermore, the strikes occurred amid Iran's claims that the US violated the ceasefire by striking southern Iran.
The Israeli strikes targeted areas in southern and eastern Lebanon.
Lebanon's Ministry of Health said the strikes killed 31 people and injured 40 others.
