The US demands Ukraine and Russia to make concessions

According to Kellogg, the war will not end without negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, following which both sides will have to make concessions, The New York Post reported.

"This is where you have to figure out: okay, where are we at? What is acceptable? Is it going to be acceptable to everybody? No. Is it going to be acceptable to everybody? No. But you try to keep that balance," he said.

Kellogg noted that after meeting with Zelensky at Trump Tower in September, Trump said a deal could be made that would be good for both sides.

"You have to approach it very pragmatically, you know? I go back to Teddy Roosevelt and the Portsmouth Treaty. The Russian czar and the Japanese were ready to walk out the door (during the negotiations), and Roosevelt actually brought them together and said, you both have to give in a little bit. And they did concede. And what happened was, Teddy Roosevelt won the Nobel Peace Prize, and the war stopped. So I think when you look at that, and even more modern examples, you'll see that that's exactly what happens," Kellogg said.

He criticized the previous US administration for its policy on the Russia-Ukraine war and said Donald Trump would have a holistic approach.
